The scene with Naruto and his dusty old apartment was a bit confusing since it didn't match up with earlier episodes but the mentorship was great

When Konohamaru struggled with the Rasengan, I couldn't help but feel a pang of pride for Naruto, seeing him become the patient teacher he always needed himself. It’s wild how far he’s come from being the student who couldn't even make a proper clone, and this moment totally cemented their special bond in my eyes.

I thought Naruto teaching Konohamaru how to pop that water balloon was such a nostalgic callback to his own training days with Jiraiya

Everyone says skip the fillers but seeing Naruto actually mentor the kid for once shows how much he has matured

Seeing Konohamaru get frustrated over the wind change while practicing the rasengan shows just how much work goes into that jutsu

I always love seeing Naruto take on that big brother role for Konohamaru, and this training really made me feel like he's finally got a handle on what it means to be a sensei. It totally reminded me of how Jiraiya used to train him, and it's awesome to see that legacy continue through Naruto.

Konohamaru always seemed to have that legacy weighing him down, and watching him try to forge his own path away from being 'the Third's grandson' was genuinely uplifting; I just kept wondering how much longer he could keep it up without cracking under the pressure. Seeing him lean into his own aspirations, it made me remember all those times he tried to copy Naruto and how far he's really come.

All that focus on the kid learning his new move really caught me off guard; it felt more like pure fan service than any meaningful step in the story. I was genuinely expecting some real plot progression, and the humor just completely missed the mark for me, which was a letdown after how consistently clever the show's jokes usually are.

Did anyone else notice Naruto's apartment looking super clean in this one? I swear, I remember it being a total mess back in the very first Shippuden episodes, so seeing it all tidy now just left me scratching my head and feeling like this whole segment was a bit of a throwaway.

Seriously, did anyone else feel completely thrown off watching Konohamaru tidying up an apartment right when the war was getting crazy? I was so invested in the fight, and those old gags just felt so misplaced; my patience definitely wore thin with that unexpected detour.

Ugh, I really can't believe they threw in this Konohamaru filler right now when the war was just heating up; seeing him try to learn the Rasengan with those silly pervy forms felt like such a pointless detour, especially when I'm so invested in what's happening with the main story. It just makes me wonder if they're deliberately trying to slow things down.

When Konohamaru suddenly decided the middle of a war was the perfect time for the Sexy Jutsu to master Rasengan, I just threw my hands up. It completely shattered the tension for me, and honestly, who thought that was a good idea for pacing given how high the stakes were?

I gotta say, I was pretty confused seeing Konohamaru scrubbing Naruto's floors like that; didn't the show make a huge point about how messy Naruto's place was when he first got back to the village? It just felt kinda off, like the studio totally forgot their own continuity for a minute there.

Did anyone else get hyped seeing Konohamaru seriously throwing himself into training? It makes me think about how much Naruto pushed himself, and I'm really rooting for my guy to blaze his own path to Hokage, even if he’s still got that "seventh" shadow to escape from!

Ugh, I can't believe they paused the freaking war for this Konohamaru cleaning episode, seriously? It's so frustrating when I just want to see what happens next in the main story, and then they throw in something so irrelevant.

Ugh, I was seriously expecting to see more of Naruto's new powers and instead, we got this random Konohamaru flashback with his pervy training? It felt so out of place when the war is going on, but seeing Yamato all flustered did take me back to simpler times with him and Kakashi, which was kinda nostalgic even if the continuity is a mess.

Ugh, after the insane hype from last week with Guy almost ending Madara and Naruto finally popping up, I was absolutely buzzing for more intense war stuff. Then this episode just drops us into Konohamaru learning the Rasengan using Sexy Jutsu, and honestly, it pulled me right out of everything. I really just found it a bit creepy and so poorly timed, it felt like such a whiplash from the main fight.

Ugh, I seriously couldn't believe Konohamaru was still using those girls to practice a high-level jutsu while poor Ebisu was just bleeding nearby; it was such an embarrassing moment for him, but honestly, it feels so typical of Konohamaru trying to be like Naruto even in the middle of a serious situation.

I was kinda okay with watching Naruto struggle with the Rasengan again for a bit, it’s a familiar challenge for him. But honestly, I found the whole Sexy Jutsu bit so uncomfortable and just plain unnecessary for a training episode; it totally pulled me out of it.

Seriously, I'm sitting here wondering why we're watching these village kids just messing around when Guy literally almost sacrificed everything and Naruto's just gotten this huge power-up to take on Madara. It feels so out of place with how high the stakes are right now, like, come on, my heart is still pounding from the fight!

EPISODE CONTEXT

Dropping in at episode 422 of 500, this filler arrives after the major canonical revelations of 'The Sage of the Six Paths,' interrupting the war arc's momentum for a character-driven detour. It sits within a stretch of filler content that delays the return to the main narrative. The following episode, 'Naruto's Rival,' begins transitioning back toward the core storyline, making this one of the last breathers before the series pushes toward its endgame.
