Fugi's whole assassination attempt on Gaara, to be honest, just kinda left me feeling a bit meh, since it's hard to genuinely worry about his fate when I know he'll be Kazekage. I kept thinking, "come on, we already know how this ends," which totally took away any tension they were trying to build.
