The Rain Village ninjas looking up to Pain and Konan with such intense hope, like they were their only salvation, really hit me with a wave of mixed emotions. I kept thinking about how heartbreaking it was to witness that complete devotion, knowing their trust was ultimately placed in a future that would bring nothing but destruction for them all.
