why do the faces look so weird in half these scenes because it felt like the art quality just dropped off a cliff midway through the episode

Episode Context

Sitting deep in Shippuden's extended filler stretch around episodes 394-413, this episode follows 'The Ultimate' and precedes 'Unwavering Gutsiness,' both part of a filler Chunin Exam arc that pauses the Fourth Great Ninja War narrative. The arc broadly explores individual and team trials, with this episode shifting focus from solo skill tests to collaborative strategy. None of these events impact the canonical war arc that eventually resumes.
