I know people say this is mostly filler, but it felt so important for understanding why Obito is so broken now. Seeing him and Rin together just made me realize how much he actually lost and how easily Naruto could have ended up the same way if he didn't have friends. That final scene with her voice really got to me

rin telling obito she was always watching him was actually the most painful thing ever when you think about where he ended up in the present

I still can't get over how much Obito was just like Naruto back in the day and seeing him try so hard for Rin made that ending shot of him alone feel heavy
