Thirteen-year-old Itachi as an ANBU captain just blew my mind; seeing the immense weight in his eyes during those briefings made me feel so bad for him. I can't even imagine the kind of internal struggle he was already carrying, setting him up for all the tragic choices he'd eventually make.
