I was genuinely shocked by how young Kakashi looked back then, and honestly, it felt like Orochimaru just toyed with him, taking him down so easily. That glare alone stopping Kakashi really showed me how utterly terrifying and powerful Orochimaru was even then, way before we saw his full creepiness.
