Okay, I'm actually really invested in this ANBU arc; it's so much better than typical filler because it's genuinely filling in gaps about Konoha's history that I've been wondering about for ages. Knowing how much went down back then makes me look at characters like Hiruzen completely differently, and it gives the entire ninja world a surprising depth I didn't realize it was missing.
