Gosh, seeing young Kakashi look so tiny in that ANBU mask and knowing he lost everyone he cared about in one night just makes my heart ache for him. It's hard to imagine the kind of trauma that shapes a kid into someone so stoic and seemingly aloof, and it makes me understand him so much better now.
