This is a must-watch; new characters are introduced. Sai and Yamato's appearance is the most interesting part. Both sides making plans, Tsunade sends Yamato, and Danzo also sends Sai.

I really miss Kakashi and seeing Yamato take his place is a weird change but at least we get to see Wood Style in action now and Sai is definitely the biggest problem because his fake smile is haunting and he seems like he is trying to get Naruto to snap on purpose and everything feels tense with Danzo involved in the team makeup

Episode Context

Coming directly off 'The New Target,' where the search for replacement team members began, this episode delivers the payoff of that search by formally assembling the reconfigured Team Kakashi with Sai and Yamato. It serves as a critical transition point early in Shippuden, closing the recruitment chapter and positioning the new squad for their first high-stakes mission together. Everything established here, the interpersonal friction, the trust gaps, the shifting power dynamics, becomes the emotional engine driving the arc ahead.
