When Torune *chose* to go into the Foundation just so Shino could get a normal childhood and go to school, I honestly felt a pang of sadness for him. It really makes me question what kind of life he could've had otherwise, and that kind of quiet, selfless love for a comrade is what makes these Leaf shinobi so special.
