Tatewaki is such a beast for being a filler character and he really held his own against Naruto even if the shadow clone move was kind of dumb

I usually skip these filler arcs but seeing how Sasori actually conquered that nation was pretty cool since he always bragged about it, even if some people think it made him look a bit weaker than before. Tatewaki was surprisingly cool and his protective vibe with Shu actually made me care about what happens to these random castle characters for once

I really felt for Tatewaki because he actually cares about the princess and Lord Shu and his backstory was way more emotional than I expected for a random side character

That preview of Tenten looking absolutely jacked for the next episode is the only thing on my mind now and I need to see her training routine

Princess Chiyo and Shu were actually decent for side characters, and the way Tatewaki fought to protect them made the whole invasion feel much more personal than most fillers

I actually liked seeing Sasori take down that whole castle with his puppets and it made that one random line he said way back in the Kazekage arc feel more real

Sasori taking down that entire castle was the coolest thing he has done in a while and he looked so cold doing it even if it is just filler

Sasori using the hundred puppets to wipe out that entire country was intense and it was cool to finally get the story behind his most famous claim

Naruto getting caught so easily because he tried to use shadow clones while disguised as Shu was such a classic move and it made me laugh because he never learns

The war arc needs to come back soon but this was way better than the last episode and Tatewaki is probably the best filler character in a long time

My heart actually hurt for Tatewaki when he had to face Sasori and his puppets just to save the prince because he was a total badass the whole time

Having to sit through more filler when the war is at its most intense feels like a chore and Sasori being there did not save it

I was genuinely surprised Tatewaki could hold his own against Naruto for so long; it actually made me think about how many other unexpectedly strong shinobi are just lurking around. That encounter definitely upped the ante for the entire castle infiltration, making the danger feel a lot more real.

My eyelids were definitely getting heavy with this filler, but when they teased that *Road to Ninja* connection, I perked right up! I'm actually curious now if they'll manage to cleverly link this entire arc to that alternate reality, which would finally give these episodes some real purpose beyond just stalling for time.

Deidara and Sasori's constant bickering really made me chuckle, even while they were being absolutely terrifying and systematically dismantling a whole country. I actually thought their snarky dynamic made for some surprisingly entertaining teamwork, and I loved seeing them prove how effective they can be when they're together.

Ugh, I seriously don't get why Naruto thought sending all his shadow clones in the *exact* same direction was a good idea; it just felt so out of character and clumsy for him to get caught by the samurai so quickly. I mean, after all he's been through, you'd think he'd be smarter than that, right?

Sasori's puppets absolutely decimating that castle caught me off guard, and for the first time, I genuinely felt the terrifying scope of his abilities. Like, it made his earlier fights, even the one with Sakura and Chiyo, feel almost quaint; I just wish this kind of overwhelming power was always on display, canon or not.

Ugh, I was so invested in the war and what was happening with everyone, and then they just hit us with this random filler about some lord in a castle. It's so frustrating because it totally ruined the momentum, and now I have to wait even longer for the actual plot to continue.

The way that samurai and Sasori went at it totally blew me away; I honestly wasn't expecting such a slick, high-stakes battle from a filler episode, which usually just feels like a time-waster. It made me wish the main story fights sometimes had this level of intricate choreography, seeing Sasori pull out all those wild puppets.

Sasori just wrecked that whole castle by himself, and honestly, I was kinda frustrated that we didn't get to see him pull off more incredible stuff like that in the main story. It really makes me wonder how much more powerful he could've been if he hadn't held back so much.

EPISODE CONTEXT

Sitting at episode 310 of 500, this filler installment lands in a stretch of non-canon episodes that interrupt the Fourth Great Ninja War arc. It follows 'An A-Rank Mission: The Contest,' another filler outing, and leads into 'Prologue of Road to Ninja,' which serves as a tie-in to the Road to Ninja film. None of these episodes advance the main war storyline, so viewers focused on canon material can safely skip this block.
