The war arc is supposed to be intense and then we get a random filler episode about Hayate from the original series

I actually liked seeing Hayate and Yugao again and it was sad seeing her have to fight her own dead boyfriend

I forgot Hayate even existed until this episode, but seeing Yugao struggle to draw her sword against him was actually pretty heavy. It feels weird having filler right in the middle of the war, especially when the opening keeps spoiling stuff that has not even happened yet. It was a nice change of pace but I really want to see the main battlefield again soon

Another episode of random filler, really? I'm getting so antsy for the plot to move forward, and watching these minor characters fiddle with scrolls just makes me wish they'd adapt the real story from the manga already instead of this constant stalling.

Ugh, I'm so over these filler episodes, it feels like we've been stuck in this meaningless side mission purgatory for ages instead of getting to the actual war. Seriously, my patience is wearing thin; couldn't they have spaced these out better or something?

Hayate's sudden appearance had me buzzing for a split second, but then his mission just fell so incredibly flat, didn't it? I'm seriously starting to worry this entire arc is just treading water instead of actually moving the plot forward, and that kinda bums me out after all the crazy stuff we've already been through.

Ugh, I'm honestly so over these filler episodes; my patience is wearing thin waiting for the actual war to start. It feels like they're just dragging their feet, and I'm really itching to see what happens with Obito and Madara already, especially after all those teasers.

When Hayate popped up, I totally blinked a few times, like wait, *him*? It just threw off the whole momentum of the war for me, and I was so ready to get back to the actual, intense fights.

Hayate's sudden return just for a scroll chase in the middle of the freakin' Fourth Great Ninja War made me want to scream at my TV. I mean, the opening credits are hyping up Madara and these insane, high-stakes battles, but then we get this detour? It just feels like a frustrating waste of time when the world is literally ending.

Suddenly, the war's intensity just dropped for me when we were thrown into another flashback about some resurrected ninja I barely recognized. It felt like such a jarring detour from the crucial battles, and all I could do was wish they'd get back to the main fight already.

Ugh, another filler episode? I was just getting hyped for the war's main events, and now we're stuck in these side stories again; it's so frustrating when the plot finally picks up some serious momentum.

Did anyone else just stare blankly when Hayate Gekko popped up with the Edo Tensei? I mean, I barely recalled him from way back when, so my reaction wasn't 'oh no!' but more 'who IS this guy again?', and it honestly made this whole scroll mission feel like a tedious detour.

Seriously, I'm getting so annoyed; they keep showing Madara in the opening like something epic is about to happen, and then we're stuck watching more medical camp filler. It's just making it super hard for me to care about what's going on, especially after all the intense stuff we've been through.

The way Yūgao had to face Hayate again felt so unfair; I really thought she'd found some way to move past all that sorrow, and now it's just raw again. It’s making me super impatient for the actual story to progress, instead of just revisiting old wounds like this. Are they trying to make us feel her pain even more, or just stretching runtime?

Why are we even focusing on this random chunin exam couple when the whole world is literally about to end? My patience is wearing thin with this pacing; it feels like they're actively trying to slow things down when I'm desperate for the main story.

I can't believe Kabuto just reanimated literally everyone, even that guy who died way back in the chunin prelims, just to force us into a whole romantic drama about his past love life. Seriously, like we needed *that* distraction in the middle of a war!

Honestly, it's so annoying how much this episode felt like they were just trying to fill time with all that Hayate stuff, and it really grinds my gears to see what could be some genuinely cool character beats just totally wasted on a story that won't even matter later on. I'm just here for the main event, you know?

I know the war is supposed to be moving forward, but then they just bring back Hayate for this really sad reunion, and I can't help but feel like it was a bit much, especially with all the flashbacks slowing things down. It makes me wonder if they're trying to stretch out the war arc.

Bringing Hayate back, cough and all, right in the thick of the Fourth Great Ninja War just made my head spin, like, why *now*? Even with the undeniably slick moonlight fight scenes, I can't shake this feeling that it was such a weird time for this particular flashback, pulling me right out of the main action.

Ugh, seeing Hayate pop up just totally deflated me; I mean, we're in the middle of a massive war, and they're really going to throw in a filler now? It just makes me so antsy for them to get back to the actual, intense fights with the Edo Tensei, especially after all the build-up.

EPISODE CONTEXT

Positioned deep within the Fourth Shinobi World War stretch at episode 307 of 500, this filler interlude follows the more strategy-focused 'The Heart's Eye' and precedes 'Night of the Crescent Moon,' which pivots back to active combat on the front lines. It functions as a contemplative pause in the war arc, slowing the relentless battle momentum to explore the emotional aftermath before the conflict escalates again.
