I was genuinely surprised when Naruto told the Nine-Tails he wanted to erase all its hatred; it felt like such an impossible, almost naive goal, but his sincerity really made me feel like this was the first time they truly connected on a human level instead of just being enemies. I honestly didn't think Kurama would react so... calmly, for once.
