The speed Mifune used to stop Hanzo from using any hand signs was wild because it really shows how a samurai can shut down a legendary ninja

Mifune's face when Hanzo chose self-paralysis over being Kabuto's puppet made me realize just how deep their past connection ran. It wasn't just about respect; it was like Hanzo, in his final moments, was desperately trying to redeem the part of himself that valued true honor, a side I hadn't seen in him for so long.

Hanzo stabbing his own venom sac to resist Kabuto is such a huge moment and it proves his spirit was stronger than the reanimation

It was crazy to see Mifune keep up with the guy who took on the Sannin, and my favorite part was how he used pure speed to keep the fight to just swords

Hanzo actually committing seppuku, even under Kabuto's Edo Tensei, was a genuinely mind-blowing moment for me. It made me think about the legendary ninja he was once known as, and how even that twisted revival couldn't fully erase his old sense of honor.

Okay, when that giant salamander showed up, I genuinely thought they were all goners, like seriously terrifying stuff. But then Mifune just blitzed in, and I was so relieved and impressed by how easily he took it down with that insane speed; I completely underestimated him before this.

Hanzo’s reaction to Mifune’s words was wild; I honestly didn't expect that kind of ancient samurai philosophy to be what finally crumbled him. My mind immediately went to all the times he'd been so arrogant, realizing then that his pride was always his biggest weakness.

I honestly didn't care much for Hanzo before this, but seeing his backstory and him choosing death to protect his honor really made me understand the weight of his conviction; it honestly left me pretty surprised by how much I empathized with him. Mifune reaching out to him like that also cemented my respect for the guy, and despite the rough animation, that salamander poison bit totally landed for me emotionally.

Hanzo actually choosing to die on his own terms instead of being Kabuto's puppet really caught me off guard, I thought for sure he was completely gone. It makes you wonder how deep a person's resolve can run, even when facing something as invasive as the Edo Tensei, a will that even overrides the reanimation jutsu itself.

That sword fight absolutely shocked me, seeing pure taijutsu just shut down all the flashy ninja magic was such a refreshing turn of events. I honestly assumed it'd just escalate into some massive jutsu battle, so watching the raw skill and close-quarters combat win out felt incredibly satisfying and a little old-school in the best way.

Okay, so the art looked a little rough around the edges, which I definitely noticed, but watching Hanzo completely defy that jutsu was still a really powerful moment for me. It just drove home how truly legendary those shinobi from back then actually were, even resurrected.

I actually felt a pang in my chest when Hanzo, someone who used to be so strong, just gave up and chose to end things himself instead of becoming a puppet. It really made me think about how much pain he must've been in to just completely lose all his old convictions.

I was so surprised when Hanzo realized Mifune was immune to his poison; it just hit me how much that old duel still meant to him, and he actually honored that mutual respect from back in the day, even in this messed-up war.

I seriously didn't expect Mifune to be *that* quick, like, Hanzo couldn't even finish his jutsu before he was on him. It just totally cemented for me how ridiculously skilled those samurai are, making me wonder how many other crazy fast guys are out there.

Hanzo actually tearing himself open just to defy Kabuto's control caught me completely off guard. I mean, after everything he's done, I never would've thought that kind of desperate, self-sacrificing will was still in him, especially when he's supposed to be mindless. That moment was seriously jarring in the best way.

Hanzo’s decision to choose seppuku completely threw me, especially after everything we knew about him; I just thought he was a straightforward villain, you know? It made me wonder what kind of history shaped that intense code of honor he had, making his final act feel so much heavier than just another antagonist dying.

I was honestly so surprised by how respectful these old legends were to each other during this fight, especially since it's the war arc. I feel like it really shows how deep their history goes, even if they're on opposite sides now.

For Hanzo to finally entrust his fate to Mifune, after a life spent so similar to Nagato's tragic fall from grace, really caught me off guard. It made me feel a strange, bittersweet relief for him, seeing him choose peace over pride in the very end, even if it came far too late for so many.

I honestly wasn't expecting much from the Mifune and Hanzo fight, thinking it would just be some older side characters clashing. But man, Mifune's whole thing about people being like swords really stuck with me, and it made me realize how Hanzo totally rusted after giving up on his dream of peace, which is kinda sad when you think about it, especially after seeing glimpses of his past. Watching him finally reclaim his honor through that seppuku felt so heavy, like he was finally cutting away the shame that had been weighing him down for so long.

EPISODE CONTEXT

Falling at episode 272 of 500, this episode marks a return to the core Fourth Shinobi World War conflict after the lighter, character-focused 'Road to Sakura' interlude. It sits within the war's broader pattern of reanimated legends forcing the Allied Forces to confront the past, and directly sets the stage for episode 273, 'True Kindness,' where the Ino-Shika-Cho trio faces their own emotionally charged battle against their reanimated mentor, Asuma.
