A group of random mercenaries showing up and actually giving them trouble was a bit much but the way Bana stepped up for Iggy at the end was okay

It was so funny seeing the real Naruto just stare at this giant guy pretending to be him while wearing that ridiculous outfit

That Iggy guy was the worst for setting up his own friend just for some fame and it was good to see Naruto call him out for being a terrible teammate

I got so annoyed seeing Iggy treat his partner like garbage just to look like a hero and it made total sense why Naruto got so heated about the friendship part

Bana being huge and pretending to be Naruto made no sense and the way the real Naruto just stumbled onto him was so bizarre

This whole boat arc has been a bit of a slog and this episode definitely felt like one of the weirder ones in the mix. The twist with Iggy using the imposter to get famous was pretty scummy, but seeing Bana stay loyal to him regardless of that betrayal actually gave the ending a decent amount of weight for filler

I swear, seeing Naruto completely bewildered by why everyone was suddenly afraid of him because of that bandit was just peak Naruto, you know? It's like he totally forgot about all the stuff that happened to him as a kid, which honestly made me chuckle a bit.

Iggy's absolute determination to save his friend completely caught me off guard; I mean, I never thought a side story like that would make me feel so invested. It felt kinda goofy for Naruto, but his loyalty was genuinely endearing, and I totally forgot how out of place it initially felt.

Dude, I was totally cracking up when those mercenary ninjas showed up and the fake Naruto finally realized he was completely out of his depth. It was so great seeing him panic like that because honestly, after all his bluster, he totally deserved to get knocked down a peg.

Ugh, this boat arc is really testing my patience, and I just can't believe they spent a whole episode on some random dude trying to be Naruto; it feels like such a detour when I know we're heading towards a huge war. I was hoping for more actual plot progression, not this kind of filler right now.

Even though I was seriously just counting the minutes for this filler to end, Banna and Iggy actually had a genuine friendship moment right before the credits rolled, and it completely blindsided me. I truly didn't think I'd get any sort of emotional payoff from something so clearly designed to just waste time, but their unexpected connection honestly made me pause and feel something.

Another imposter mix-up, really? My eyes almost rolled out of my head when the real Naruto had to come in and sort out the two fakes. But then, seeing him take control and clean up their shenanigans with such a casual, powerful presence just made me laugh, reminding me why I still love the classic bait-and-switch.

Ugh, seeing that huge bandit Banna try to pretend he was Naruto was just so wild, like, how could anyone buy that? I totally felt for Naruto realizing his reputation was getting trashed, but Iggy actually coming around and caring about his partner was a genuinely sweet moment I definitely wasn't expecting in this filler.

Whoa, Iggy really surprised me this episode, sticking by fake Naruto when I was half-expecting him to bolt at any second! That unexpected loyalty actually made me pay attention, and now I'm wondering if he's got a deeper motive or if we'll see that kind of surprising dedication from him again down the line.

When that big guy started pretending to be Naruto, I couldn't believe the audacity; my boy's been through so much, finally getting acknowledged after years of being an outcast. It just rubbed me the wrong way that someone would try to trash all his progress like that, especially when he's finally starting to make good on his word.

My eyes nearly rolled out of my head when that imposter Naruto showed up; seriously, after all this time on the boat, I'm already so over this whole arc. I just can't believe they pulled the exact same "fake out" trick *again*, it feels like the writers think we've forgotten every other time someone tried to impersonate him or someone else. It's making this already tedious journey even harder for me to sit through.

I was actually surprised that Bana and Iggy made it through all that filler nonsense together, but seeing them stick it out and truly become friends by the end really warmed my heart. It's nice when even the side stories manage to capture that classic Naruto spirit of unwavering bonds, even if I was just waiting for the main plot to kick back in.

I honestly didn't expect Iggy to step up and protect his partner like that, especially for a filler character. It made me realize just how much Naruto's unwavering belief in others really influences everyone around him, even the most annoying ones.

Seriously, I was so confused why anyone actually fell for Banna's 'Naruto' disguise this episode; did they just not get a good look, or what? It was barely even a caricature, and it just makes me wonder if some characters in the Leaf Village are just a little too trusting sometimes.

EPISODE CONTEXT

Sitting deep in Shippuden's extended filler stretch at episode 233 of 500, this follows 'The Girls' Get-Together' — another standalone filler focused on the series' female cast. 'Naruto's Imposter' continues the pattern of episodic diversions with no bearing on the main narrative, leading into 'Naruto's Favorite Pupil,' which shifts focus to Konohamaru. None of these episodes advance the core storyline, so they function purely as character-flavored one-offs between major arcs.
