Any episode where the village praises Naruto is a good episode. The effect of the original Naruto effect is still very much felt still, even after the payoff on Pain arc.

Sasuke getting those new eyes looks terrifying and you can tell the war is starting soon with all these alliances forming

I felt a bit worried when the Great Lord Elder said Naruto and Sasuke might both end up dead and that prophecy about the guy with the eyes was super ominous

Watching the Great Lord Elder struggle to remember the prophecy was funny but the actual vision about the youth with special eyes and the potential for both Naruto and Sasuke to die in battle was heavy stuff and it makes the preparation for the fourth great ninja war feel much more urgent now that Tsunade is finally awake to lead them through it

Konohamaru using the sexy jutsu right after such a serious prophecy was actually hilarious and it felt like the old days for a second

The mention of a young man whose power lies in his eyes sounds like a massive threat for Naruto and seeing Sasuke with Itachis eyes is actually terrifying

People keep saying this is filler but the Great Lord Elder just gave a massive warning about Sasuke and Naruto both dying in their next fight

What a relief it was to see Jiraiya back, just when I needed a familiar face! That whole octopus prophecy has me completely stumped but also totally hyped for who Naruto's next mentor could be; I'm betting it's someone unexpected and powerful.

Tsunade taking back the Hokage seat is such a win for the village after that close call with Kakashi almost taking the job before the war starts

The whole debate about giving Naruto the key to the seal was intense and seeing Gerotora again makes the whole Killer Bee training idea feel way more real

I am so glad Tsunade finally woke up because the village was a mess and seeing her take back the Hokage seat right when the war council is forming feels like things are finally moving

Konohamaru using the sexy jutsu and shadow clones to mess with everyone was such a good break from all that scary prophecy talk about Naruto and Sasuke potentially dying

Sasuke showing off Itachis eyes was such a dark moment, and it makes you wonder if he is going to end up blind like his brother did or if the transplant actually fixed everything

It felt a bit like a pause episode but Shikamaru joining the war council shows how much things are changing for the hidden leaf and they are getting ready for the Akatsuki

I thought the talk about Naruto finally bonding with the Nine Tails like Killer Bee does with his beast was intense, and I can't wait to see if he actually gets that key from Gerotora soon

I'm totally captivated by the Great Lord Elder's prophecy for Naruto; everyone's betting it's Sasuke, but that 'power in the eyes' part makes me seriously consider Madara, which is a wild thought. Honestly, the idea of Naruto finally getting the key to the Nine-Tails seal is both thrilling and absolutely terrifying because my mind immediately goes back to his past rampages, and I just hope he can keep it together this time.

Pervy Sage's toads talking about Naruto's maturity really made me think, like, how is he supposed to get as calm as Killer B when he still struggles so much with that inner demon? It's gotta be an insane amount of pressure for him, and I just hope he can find a way to rein in the Nine-Tails soon without losing himself.

I totally get that the Allied Shinobi Forces forming was a huge sign everyone was freaking out about Madara, but honestly, seeing Naruto chase Konohamaru around felt like such a necessary, almost bittersweet, moment of normal before everything goes to absolute chaos. I really needed that little breather, too, before the inevitable war kicks off.

My stomach totally dropped when Sasuke just flat out declared he was gonna crush the village; like, seeing those new Sharingan of his made his threat feel so much more serious and terrifying, and it honestly made me wonder if there's any hope left for him to ever come back.

Karin's reaction to all the Leaf Village food cracked me up so much; she tries so hard to keep up that angry façade, but I just know she was secretly loving every bite and the general calm. It really makes me wonder if she'll ever truly drop the tough girl act completely and just chill for once.

EPISODE CONTEXT

Coming directly after 'Kakashi Hatake, the Hokage,' which dealt with leadership transitions and political shifts, this episode pivots toward Naruto's individual destiny and the village's collective preparation for war. It functions as a critical bridge—grounding the narrative in prophecy and strategy before the story accelerates into the tactical decisions explored in 'Storage.' At episode 220 of 500, the series is firmly in its escalation phase toward large-scale conflict, and this installment ensures both the protagonist and the audience are properly oriented for what's ahead.
