Getting a whole episode about capturing a bird that escaped from the forest of death is such a waste of time and seeing a boxing kangaroo just made it worse

Nothing says quality like a filler episode where a talking ostrich becomes a recurring villain and beats up Rock Lee while everyone acts like this is a normal mission for the village

It is hilarious how this episode mocks its own constant flashbacks while Naruto is struggling against a literal ostrich even if the plot is the dumbest thing you could watch

Condor using ninjutsu to fight back against team seven is the kind of madness that makes filler worth watching if you just want to laugh at something ridiculous

Watching Condor perform ninjutsu is the weirdest thing ever, and the show seems to be joking about it, but seeing Kotetsu and Izumo lose to a bird was painful

Why is there a ninja ostrich that knows ninjutsu and why is he beating up leaf ninja and it makes no sense at all and the writers were on something today

A mission to capture a talking ostrich that uses jutsu is definitely the lowest point for team seven and that kangaroo fight was just embarrassing

I cannot believe I sat through twenty minutes of Naruto fighting a boxing kangaroo and a giant bird and it really felt like a fever dream that I want to forget immediately

My brain melted watching Naruto and Lee struggle against a talking bird and I am so confused why this exists in the middle of such a serious part of the show

Wait, so a gigantic bird just popped out with a Leaf Village headband and shadow clones? I was seriously cracking up watching Shino try to logically deal with that feathered menace using his bugs, like, who even writes this stuff for him?

Okay, so an ostrich learning ninja arts and going toe-to-toe with Rock Lee? my jaw was on the floor, thinking "what in the world am I even watching right now?" Honestly, though, as totally bizarre as that was, I kinda appreciated how much more fun it was than some of the other filler episodes we've endured.

It really caught me off guard how genuinely sweet it was to see Kotetsu's last thoughts go straight to Izumo when he thought he was done for. Honestly, watching them hold hands at the very end just completely redeemed that whole bizarre mission for me; their partnership is definitely deeper than I ever gave it credit for.

Shino chasing that ostrich felt so out of character for him, and honestly, I was kinda surprised they even bothered with such a silly side quest when there's so much else going on. My guy usually has such a cool, calculated head, so seeing him just waste his abilities on *that* really made me question what the writers were thinking. What a total detour, ugh.

Naruto getting absolutely trounced by that giant ostrich, complete with its own ninja moves, actually made me laugh out loud. I mean, he's fought literal gods and world-ending threats, but a bird is what finally brings him to his knees? It's such a ridiculous filler, yet I can't help but wonder if this is karma for all the times he's underestimated his opponents.

I was honestly caught off guard when the show used its own flashback trope as a punchline for the ostrich episode; it felt like a sly wink from the creators admitting they *do* overdo them, and I couldn't help but laugh out loud at the self-awareness.

I wasn't expecting to laugh so much at Lee getting absolutely pummeled by a boxing kangaroo, but man, his sheer determination even in that ridiculous situation just cracks me up every time. It's wild how he always gives 110% no matter what, and I gotta admit, it was a much-needed break from all the intense Akatsuki drama.

Seriously, I'm just sitting here wondering how anyone thought a bird with shuriken could take down a jinchuriki; it's so ridiculous that it actually pulled me right out of the story. I can't believe they went with something so silly, especially when we've seen so much intense stuff happen before this pointlessly.

Okay, so I was literally cackling when Kotetsu started seeing Izumo in his final moments against that ridiculous ostrich, like, really? And then they held hands after that whole ordeal? My god, those two are just something else, totally made my day.

Seriously, I was cracking up but also face-palming so hard when that ostrich pulled out Shadow Clones against Lee and Shino; it just made them look so hilariously outmatched by a bird, which is kind of wild considering how strong they usually are.

Okay, but seriously, watching Naruto get absolutely walloped by that kangaroo was the highlight of my week, like, who even comes up with this stuff? I feel like the people skipping these filler arcs totally miss out on all the unhinged fun and the unexpected animal shenanigans that make the show so wild sometimes.

EPISODE CONTEXT

Episode 185 sits within the 'Past Arc: The Locus of Konoha,' a stretch of filler episodes showcasing standalone missions and character side stories. It follows 'Deploy! Team Tenten,' another lighthearted filler centered on experimental ninja tools, and leads into 'Ah, the Medicine of Youth,' which shifts focus to Rock Lee. None of these episodes advance the main Shippuden narrative, so viewers can safely skip this block without losing continuity.
