Y más relleno, ya sabemos que Naruto es largo más por el relleno que por la historia en sí.

I forgot how loud Naruto used to be in the original series and that bird repeating everything he said made it ten times worse

Naruto and Sakura being all cute and young again after the *entire* Pain arc felt so out of place to me, like, my brain just needed a minute to adjust. But honestly, watching that parrot mimic Naruto's goofy voice was exactly the kind of unexpected laugh I needed to unwind from all that tension.

Learning that the Fourth Hokage wanted them to value hard work over shortcuts was a solid way to wrap up the mystery

Hearing the original Naruto soundtrack play during the obstacle course brought back so many memories and made this whole filler feel a bit more special

I know this is just a filler meant to promote the movie, but seeing Team 7 and Team 10 work together before things got so dark was a nice change of pace. The whole search for the Fourth Hokage's legacy turning out to be a lesson about teamwork felt right for these characters. Plus, watching Gai lead those insane drills made the whole trip worth it.

My skin crawled a bit when Naruto kept falling for the same traps over and over and I really missed the mature version of him today

The timing for this flashback is so weird because you want to see the fight with Pain but then Gai shows up with his ridiculous training exercises

Seeing Shikamaru landing perfectly on that stack of boxes reminds you why he was always the smartest kid in the class

After that insane Shinra Tensei, I was totally on edge, just dying to know who made it through Pain's attack on Konoha. To suddenly cut away for filler right then? It’s genuinely frustrating, pulling me right out of the intense moment I was so invested in.

Ugh, I gotta admit, seeing all those kid versions of the characters pop up again when things are so intense in the present really grated on me. My patience is definitely wearing thin, I just want to know what's going to happen with the serious plotlines, not relive their childhoods right now.

I can't believe after all that chasing and buildup for this big legacy, the takeaway was just "work hard"—didn't Naruto already get that memo a hundred times? It made me wonder if even he was a little let down, expecting something more revolutionary after everything.

Coming off the utter devastation of the Pain arc, I gotta say, the sudden jump to a Chunin Exam flashback threw me for a serious loop – like, who thought this was the right time? But then seeing Guy Sensei being his wonderfully extra self and hearing those old school jams actually made me smile, even if it was a weird moment of nostalgic calm in the storm.

How does Shikamaru even do it? I swear, his brain works on a different level than everyone else's, always seeing the moves ahead while I'm still trying to figure out the first step. It's almost frustrating how brilliant he is, but then again, thank goodness for him.

I know the "no shortcuts" message on the scroll is totally Naruto, and like, it's true to him, but honestly, part of me was kinda hoping for something a little more profound after everything he's been through. It felt a bit underwhelming, considering all the intense training and struggles he's overcome.

Getting hit with those classic designs and the old soundtrack just instantly transported me back to when I first binged Naruto, it was such a powerful wave of nostalgia. And kid Sakura, bless her, was exactly as loud as I remembered; it really made me grin, thinking some characters are just born with their volume knob cranked to eleven.

Dude, I absolutely lost it when the parrot straight-up called Naruto stupid; it was just so perfect and honestly, I've had that thought cross my mind a time or two myself during some of his more clueless moments.

Seriously, I was so invested in *that* fight, you know the one, and then out of nowhere, we get a filler arc? It totally killed the momentum for me, and I'm just sitting here wondering why they'd pull something like that right when things were getting good.

Seriously, I just can't believe they’re hitting us with filler *again* right after the Pain fight – like, my brain was still reeling from all that went down, and now we're on some random adventure? It's so annoying how they always manage to kill the hype and leave me hanging when the main story is finally getting good.

Wow, Sasuke just completely obliterated those rain ninja without even breaking a sweat; I was honestly floored by how effortlessly he took them all down. It really hammered home for me just how ridiculously far ahead he is compared to pretty much all the other genin at this point.

EPISODE CONTEXT

Episode 171 sits deep in a stretch of filler content that follows the conclusion of the Pain arc's buildup and precedes the series' return to major canon developments. It directly continues Episode 170's treasure-hunt premise, wrapping up the two-part Fourth Hokage legacy side story. Viewers tracking the main Shippuden narrative can skip ahead without consequence, as the core storyline resumes in later episodes with significantly heavier thematic stakes.
