Naruto actually hitting Minato, his *own dad*, was something I honestly didn't see coming, and it just showed me how deep that childhood pain ran for him. It was incredibly poignant watching him finally unleash all that built-up loneliness and confusion onto the very man who was supposed to be there, and I felt a strong sense of release for him in that moment. This meeting definitely felt like a much-needed, albeit painful, emotional explosion.
