Hotaru really didn't stand a chance against Shiranami's manipulation, and it genuinely caught me off guard how he was the true mastermind. I just can't wrap my head around someone so callously stringing along a kid who completely trusted them, all for the sake of getting a forbidden technique. It's such a gut punch to see that kind of betrayal.
