Well, the fight is epic. I rewatched it again and damn… Itachi could’ve easily killed Sasuke. But goddamn, I hate the narrator sometimes 😭

Still, Sasuke never truly knew what Itachi was going through to protect him and the village. And Sasuke was so stubborn… I honestly wish he had understood everything earlier.

The Final Battle among brothers, such a dramatic, love and psychotic battle of physicality with illusions of secrets. Even after the things Itachi had to endure, from the Clan Massacre, to his sickness and finally his battle with Sasuke. He never stopped loving him.

A deeply moving episode. The visual debut of Susano'o is grand and breathtaking, but the most striking element is Itachi's emotional transition. His true intentions are masterfully revealed through that final, subtle finger gesture. Truly a narrative masterpiece.

I can't believe Itachi just poked his head like that and then died after all that buildup

Sasuke actually summoned a whole natural lightning storm to kill his brother and Itachi still had a secret trump card ready to go

Sasuke's determination was intense, but then Zetsu's casual observation about Itachi struggling to dodge basic attacks completely rattled me. It suddenly painted a clearer picture of the immense pain Itachi must have been enduring, making me question how he even managed to keep going for so long.

When that massive skeletal Susanoo finally came out of the smoke, my heart just dropped for Sasuke. He looked absolutely tiny compared to it, and I couldn't even imagine how he was going to fight something that intimidating.

Sasuke just collapsing there, right after Itachi’s final, gentle smile, was a total punch to the gut for me. I’m stuck wondering if all that insane drive for vengeance was ever really worth it if it just ends like this, with him completely broken.

I can't believe Itachi survived Sasuke's Kirin only to succumb to an illness; it's such a gut punch, and honestly, the episode title "The End" really had me panicking for a second, like is this *it* for Naruto or something bigger?

I was so relieved when Itachi finally sealed Orochimaru with that spirit sword, I mean, Sasuke's been under that guy's thumb for so long. It makes me wonder what he'll do now without Orochimaru's creepy influence, maybe he can actually start thinking for himself again.

I honestly thought Sasuke had actually pulled it off with Kirin, but then Susanoo just *erupted*, totally overwhelming me, and I couldn't believe what I was seeing. After Itachi tapped his forehead, seeing Sasuke just stand there in the rain felt so incredibly hollow to me, and it made me seriously question everything about Itachi because his expression in that moment was anything but villainous.

I swear, that forehead tap in this episode felt like a whole different gesture; it really made me wonder how much Itachi was holding back all these years, always trying to protect Sasuke even when it broke my heart to watch what he did.

I was absolutely floored when Susanoo just tanked Kirin like it was nothing; honestly, I thought that was Sasuke's ace in the hole, so seeing him look so broken afterwards just felt awful. It really makes me wonder what he'll even do next now that his ultimate jutsu failed.

I honestly can't get over Itachi just... dropping like that; it felt so sudden after everything he'd done, especially given his calm demeanor up until then. My brain is going a mile a minute trying to figure out what he whispered to Sasuke right before the end, I just know it's going to change everything for Sasuke going forward.

Honestly, I was so focused on Itachi's new spirit weapons and how he was fighting the hydra that I barely noticed Zetsu commentating at first, but then I realized it was actually super helpful for me to grasp what was going on. I mean, who knew Zetsu, of all people, would be my combat analyst?

I honestly can't believe Itachi, who always seemed so invincible, actually died because of an illness and not from that crazy Kirin Sasuke threw at him. It just feels so anticlimactic for such a powerful ninja, like he was playing a long game even with his own death.

I swear, that tiny white snake slithering away at the very end totally freaked me out; like, after everything Sasuke just went through, I really thought Orochimaru was done for, but now I'm just sitting here wondering if he's still out there somewhere.

Sasuke, just utterly broken next to Itachi's body in the downpour, made me feel a knot in my stomach—all his years of obsession completely unraveling right there. My mind immediately went to what Naruto would think if he saw him now, knowing how much Sasuke gave up for this revenge.

When Itachi suddenly pulled out that Totsuka Blade, I swear my jaw hit the floor, like, where did he even keep that thing all this time? My mind immediately went to how much trouble Orochimaru caused everyone, and then Itachi just seals him away so easily, it's just wild to me how powerful he actually is.

When Itachi gave Sasuke that final forehead poke, I actually gasped because it instantly brought back all those times he used to do it when they were little, and now it just feels so unbelievably tragic. I can only imagine the storm of emotions going through Sasuke as he just stood there, speechless, probably trying to reconcile everything he believed with this new, gut-wrenching truth.

EPISODE CONTEXT

Directly following the escalation in 'Amaterasu!' where Itachi unleashed devastating techniques against Sasuke, 'The End' serves as the climactic resolution of their long-awaited confrontation—one of the most anticipated battles in the entire series. This episode closes out the brothers' fight and immediately sets the stage for 'The Mystery of Tobi,' shifting narrative focus to the enigmatic figure who has been watching from the shadows, ready to reshape everything Sasuke thought he knew.
