I was absolutely gutted when they showed that all the Pains were people Jiraiya had actually encountered before; it just made his sacrifice even more heartbreaking, knowing he was fighting faces he once knew. My heart just broke for him, but what a hero, managing to send that intel back to the village right before the end.
