My gut absolutely dropped watching Pain take Jiraiya apart like that; I just knew it was coming, but it didn't make it any less agonizing to see. It’s hard not to feel that deep ache knowing he spent his final moments thinking of Naruto, fighting so relentlessly to leave a path for the next generation.
