I can't believe how everything ties back to Minato's original intentions for sealing the Nine-Tails; it makes Jiraiya holding onto that key for Naruto feel so much heavier, knowing he's been carrying that secret all this time. It just shows how much faith Minato had in his son and in Jiraiya, and my heart breaks a little for all of them.
