The sheer tragedy of Nagato, Konan, and Yahiko's fate really makes me question if Jiraiya truly grasped the full weight of leaving them to fend for themselves in that chaotic world. While he taught them ninjutsu, I can't help but feel his departure sealed their grim destiny instead of giving them the tools for a better life.
