EPISODE REVIEWS

You can really see how much of a toll the war took on kids back then and seeing young Kakashi act like a mini general was just sad considering what happened to Sakumo

Episode Context

Coming off the formation of Sasuke's new team, the narrative deliberately pauses present-day events to deliver critical backstory for Kakashi through the Kakashi Chronicles flashback arc. This first part establishes the dynamics of Team Minato during the Third Great Ninja War and directly sets up Part 2 in the following episode. The backstory introduced here carries significant weight for understanding character motivations that ripple through the rest of Shippuden.
