Episode Context

As episode 1 of 500, 'Homecoming' is the direct bridge from the original Naruto series into Shippuden, picking up after the two-and-a-half-year timeskip that followed Sasuke's departure. It functions purely as a re-establishment episode, reintroducing the core cast, their evolved dynamics, and the village's current state. Everything here is setup: the reunions and power reveals in this premiere lay the groundwork for the escalating threats and missions that will dominate the early arcs ahead.
