I litterally enjoyed wagering on Nobu's success scene during this episode, particularly Nana's wager. I wish the Takumi nonsense has ended, but I’m certain there will be more uncertain hachi ahead.

Coming off the loneliness and emotional drift Hachi experienced in episode 26, 'The Passing Hachi and Nana,' this episode deepens her internal reckoning and forces her to articulate what she's been running toward, or away from. It serves as essential groundwork for episode 28, 'Hachi and Nobu's Sudden Intimacy,' where the emotional tension built here finds a concrete outlet.
