Episode Context

Arriving after 'Conflicting Emotions' raised interpersonal tensions within the group, episode 6 escalates those fractures into a direct personal crisis for Miaka, a pivotal turning point still early in this 52-episode run. Taiitsukun's introduction expands the mythology and raises the complexity of Miaka's quest. This episode directly sets the stage for 'Going Home,' where the consequences of what happens here reshape the journey's trajectory heading into the next arc.
