Episode Context

Coming off 'Captured Girl' where Miaka and Yui's reunion seemed to promise reconciliation, episode 11 dramatically reframes the series by introducing a rival priestess dynamic that reshapes the entire conflict going forward. At roughly the one-fifth mark of 52 episodes, this installment transitions the show from its early celestial warrior recruitment phase into a deeper, faction-driven narrative with far higher personal stakes. The events here establish rivalries and loyalties that will fuel the major arcs ahead.
