It delivers one of the more emotional and unsettling stories in the series so far, combining supernatural mystery with themes of lingering regrets and personal connections. The episode focuses heavily on the emotional impact of the phenomenon rather than just the mystery itself, giving the story a more heartfelt tone.

the story continues the investigation of the Taiwanese urban legend “Little Girl in Red” connected to Tomoko’s disappearance. Ren Adashino, Sumireko, and Oto gather more information about the curse and how it spreads, researching different versions of the folklore to understand its rules. Oto even looks into places connected to Tomoko before she vanished, while Adashino analyzes the legend’s details to find clues about how the entity chooses its victims. As they piece together the mystery, they realize the phenomenon becomes more active in certain conditions, especially around rain, and near the end of the episode Tomoko is finally spotted again behaving strangely
