It’s a rare, warm, and rewarding finale that provides closure while acknowledging that life and their complicated feelings will continue. The episode stays true to the series’ DNA: awkward, sincere, and a little imperfect, but real.
If I were to describe this episode in one word, it would be "SWEET". I wouldn't say that the episode wraps up everything since some of the characters that has been linked to Hachiman was just forgotten due to non exposure but I would say this episode was overall nice since it had me grinning like an idiot all the way. Is it worth the watch? YES. Is it a good romcom anime? ABSOLUTELY. Does it explore most of the characters and wouldn't somehow have forgotten some of them? Hmm¥£zz😶. Is Hiratsuka Shizuka the GOAT? ABSOLUTELY ALL LEVELS OF YES!!
final conversations land with real weight, hachiman’s tone feels different, quieter but more certain, small sounds in the room fade as everything focuses on what’s being said, it feels earned without overdoing it, strong close, worth watching through to the end
