This is definitely not a show for everyone especially those with certain sensibilities. You get an unhealthy dose of fanservice from the get-go, shamelessly setting up the direction this series is taking. Unfortunately though, expect more effort in the animation of those "moments" rather than the episode as a whole. It's pretty clear what the priority is for the production team; they started slow, but they might pull something out if they play their cards right.

You can really see the imagination that went into this, and it totally lands. The closet genius author thing is such a fun hook. Sure, the animation has its shortcuts, but the voice acting and chaotic energy make it an absolute blast to watch.
