Episode 2 is just as wholesome as the first one! I really enjoyed the comedy in this episode, especially the little misunderstandings between Subaru and Haru.
I also liked how the theme of loss and grief comes through for both of them. They have both experienced loss in different ways, and it feels like, without even realising it, they are helping each other work through their grief. Subaru gives Haru a new home and a sense of safety, while Haru brings companionship and warmth into Subaru’s life.
I think that’s what makes their relationship so special. They aren’t just taking care of each other; they are slowly helping each other heal.
