Episode Context

Coming directly off Arika's hard-won acceptance into Garderobe Academy, this episode immediately challenges the stability of that achievement, making clear that enrollment was only the first hurdle. It deepens the dynamic between the central trio and establishes the social and institutional stakes of academy life, themes that carry weight through the remainder of the first half of the season. The groundwork laid here, particularly around trust and camaraderie, feeds directly into the more complex interpersonal conflicts and Otome-related developments that follow.
