Episode Context

Coming off the explosive confrontations of 'Song of Destruction,' this episode deliberately shifts gears, moving the focus inward rather than outward. The Black Valley setting functions as a narrative threshold, what's uncovered here about the characters' pasts will directly shape the stakes heading into 'For Your Sake...' the penultimate episode. At episode 23 of 26, this is the calm before the final storm.
