i always had some suspicions about kinjo from when he made a comment about himself in a previous episode, but it's really nice that it was explicitly stated in the anime! i love his character so it's so nice to see him getting some backstory on his previous company too!!also seeing momose really grow into a more confident, brave, and determined version of himself throughout the show is so satisfying :D go for it momose!!!

Wait, I knew it was hinted on, but I wasn’t expecting them to go in that direction with Kinjo! 😲 I adore the writing of this story… it’s so enchanting and I’m soooo hooked 😭 I also love that there’s an unexpected shipper in this ep LOL. I can’t wait for the next ep!!

Oh my gosh I didn't expect that from Kinjo!! I honestly want to hear more about it. And the subtle gestures really makes me feel a little bit giddy, I love this genre so much! Also, the last half dialogues really comforted me too. The end was satisfying and unhinged.

Episode Context

The midpoint of the season pulls Shirosaki out of the office and into his hometown, shifting the lens from workplace warmth to something more personal. Expect a change of scenery that opens up new dimensions for the boss everyone already loves, with familial bonds and brotherly dynamics adding genuine heart beneath the usual comedic surface. The title's triple repetition of "Ex-boyfriend" signals classic slice-of-life misunderstanding comedy, likely playing on assumptions and awkward revelations without ever turning mean-spirited. Momose continues to benefit from Shirosaki's effortless compassion, and their dynamic deepens in a way that feels earned rather than rushed. The tone stays firmly lighthearted. A-1 Pictures keeps the palette soft and the pacing gentle. This is a comfort-watch episode that quietly enriches the characters you're already rooting for.
