A classic calm before the storm. I really thought this was meant to be a relaxing episode, but they just had to reveal in the last minute that they might face even more dangerous opponents. Why couldn't they have saved that for the next episode, It really keeps me curious.

Deceptively setup as a breather episode after the intense ending of the previous arc, this new chapter begins on an explosive note. While there were subtle hints from earlier parts that would eventually lead to this moment, starting the show with such a light-hearted occassion just made it more impactful upon the reveal at the end. Now the stakes are much dire than ever before, no matter who wins heartbreak will eventually follow. Now this anime has just became a must-watch.

Holy shit, this episode went from being a chill, relaxing, getting-together episode to one of the cruellest reveals in the show.This is where I'd initially dropped the anime because I didn't want to be prepared for what came next... time to continue after all these years!
