When that hand-guy just stepped out of the black portal, my stomach dropped – I totally wasn't expecting an actual villain attack during what was supposed to be a training exercise. Deku's face, man, you could just tell he instantly knew this wasn't a game, and it made me genuinely worried for everyone there.
