My Hero Academia: Two Heroes
Oshimeter
Synopsis
Hitching a ride with All Might and Deku on a vacation sounds wholesome enough, right? This movie takes the Class 1-A crew to I-Island, a floating research hub where scientists develop hero tech and Quirk-related gear. It's basically a sci-fi convention for the superhero world. Deku meets Melissa Shield, who's Quirkless like he used to be but channels that energy into engineering instead of wallowing in it. She's a genuinely good addition to the cast, not just a movie-only throwaway character. Her dad, David Shield, is an old colleague of All Might's from his early hero days, which gives you some nice backstory on the big guy before he became the Symbol of Peace. Naturally, things go sideways: the island gets locked down, villains show up, and the kids have to fight their way through a high-rise tower floor by floor while the adults are sidelined. Studio Bones brings their usual clean action animation, and composer Yuki Hayashi keeps the energy moving without it feeling forced. The whole thing has a sort of Die Hard structure if John McClane had a class full of superpowered teenagers backing him up. If you're into My Hero Academia already, this slots neatly into the timeline during summer break. If you liked the team dynamics in something like Naruto: The Last Movie or the hero society angle from Tiger & Bunny, this hits similar notes. It's a tight 96 minutes: no filler, just a solid standalone story.

Good!
This is a pretty standard shonen anime filler movie, but the final fight is done incredibly well.
Ohh, a different place, that’s interesting. Some lore about All Might too, great to see new sides of him. We can also see movements happening behind the curtains. A lot of slow and fun moments with the main crew bonding again, but, well, it wouldn’t last long. The other side is making their moves as well. Something big is on its way. It’s an insanely dangerous situation. When you’re on the “good side,” those things are bound to happen. The resolve is part of who he is, he wouldn’t be a hero otherwise. This guy is freaking nuts HAHAHAHA. The tension keeps rising. Wow, I didn’t expect that plot twist. Now it’s a complete showdown. OMG!!! Man, such a great movie.
An enjoyable superhero anime film that balances stylish action with heartfelt character moments. It does not try to reinvent the series, but it executes the classic My Hero Academia formula confidently with strong visuals, smooth pacing, and satisfying emotional beats.
A visually stunning anime movie. It's better if you watch season 2 before watching this movie to fully understand the flow. How the students brainstorm together is satisfying to watch. A mix of funny, action, and battle scenes. The background music perfectly matched the scenes.
Two Heroes is an absolute blast: epic, fun, and packed with crowd-pleasing action. I saw it in theaters, which made it even better; this is the kind of movie that made the whole audience cheer. A surprisingly great side story that captures the heart of the series.
Il primo film della saga, che consiglio di recuperare per la lore futura! Le prime imprese di All Might prima di essere il nuber One, la conoscenza di speciali tecnologie per il supporto quirk, e poi i boys in abiti eleganti è una visione meravigliosa!
This was surprisingly good. Plot's very interesting and as usual, Bones had done it again with its amazing animation. I gotta say, they really love BNHA, lol. This anime was really taken care of by this studio.
Two Heroes blends thrilling action with heartfelt emotion. Deku’s determination shines at I-Expo, while All Might’s past adds depth. Stunning animation elevates the battles and the climax which delivers an inspiring, unforgettable finale.
