EPISODE REVIEWS

I love this episode! It has a different vibe in terms of the story’s progression—or maybe I just really enjoy Midoriya and All Might moments. It’s been a while since we got that, and that one scene even paralleled an earlier one.

After that tense and terrifying encounter, they gave us an emotional and heartwarming moment between All Might and Deku. I love their dynamic! This arc is getting more interesting, especially with that encounter with Eri.

Episode Context

Coming off episode 3 where Midoriya secured his internship with Sir Nighteye, 'Fighting Fate' functions as the true inciting incident for Season 4's central conflict by introducing key players and moral stakes that will drive the overarching Overhaul arc. This is early-season foundation work, episode 4 of 25, so the groundwork laid here pays off across the majority of the season. The following episode pivots to spotlight other Class 1-A students' internships, so this is the last concentrated setup before the narrative briefly widens its lens.
