I actually liked this episode a lot. Surprisingly, it felt moving and a little heartbreaking. Gentle and La Brava were really interesting characters and gave me a different perspective on villains.

Didn’t expect this episode to be emotional and a little heartbreaking. I really like these kinds of villains—different and unique in their own way. The fight scenes in this episode were incredible, too.

This episode was unexpected. I never thought Gentle and La Brava’s dynamic would be this emotional. I actually like their characters now because they feel different from the usual villains, and it’s refreshing to see that.

Episode Context

Episode 22 lands at the culmination of the Gentle Criminal confrontation, resolving the tension that has been building across the School Festival mini-arc after the emotionally exhausting Overhaul saga. This episode bridges the gap between Deku's personal battle and the festival itself, setting up the celebratory 'Let It Flow! School Festival!' payoff in the next episode. With only three episodes remaining in the season, this marks the final major action beat before the season pivots toward resolution and character-driven closure.
