I felt Midoriya’s reaction at the end, lol. Tokoyami really stood out here, but Iida was also amazing. Honestly, I love them both! This was such a good episode.

Episode Context

Episode 5 closes out the cavalry battle phase of the U.A. Sports Festival, the arc that defines Season 2's first half. The preceding episode established the team formations and opening strategies; this one delivers the payoff, resolving the group competition and determining who advances. The results here directly funnel into the one-on-one tournament bracket that drives the next stretch of episodes, where individual rivalries, particularly between Midoriya, Todoroki, and Bakugo, take center stage.
