Such a great episode—so iconic and exciting! Midoriya was definitely the MVP here. It really makes you look forward to what’s going to happen next.

Episode Context

Following episode 2's ceremony and buildup, this is where the Sports Festival arc truly ignites with its first competitive event, transforming hype into action. It establishes the competitive dynamics between Midoriya, Todoroki, and Bakugo that will define the rest of the arc. The results here directly feed into episode 4's team-formation phase, making this a critical setup for the alliances and rivalries that escalate through the tournament's later rounds.
