Bakugo is freaking hilarious—I can’t, lol. Compared to his introduction, he feels more like a hothead than a straight-up bully now. Overall, this was a lighter episode that nicely kicks off a new arc.

A much lighter episode compared to the previous ones. It felt like a setup for the next conflict—a calm before the storm that builds anticipation for what’s about to happen.

I like this episode. It’s lighter in tone but still carries a strong sense of anticipation, making me look forward to what’s coming next. It does a great job setting things up.

After a long festival a slow and needed rest ! Good story building and not rushed shows the slow and steady quality of this anime !

Much needed comedy and relaxation. Picking hero names is such a wholesome student moment. The background music is light and bouncy. The voice acting for the whole class shows their great chemistry.

A fantastic transition from battle to identification! For Class 1-A, selecting Hero Names marks a turning point in their development from amateurs to professionals. Even a retired hero can hold the key to Midoriya's destiny when the fabled Gran Torino shows up. Really motivating!

“Time to Pick Some Names” shifts the tone to a lighter, character-focused moment after intense competition. The episode explores identity and self-expression in a fun yet meaningful way. It’s a refreshing installment that adds charm while subtly expanding the hero world.

EPISODE CONTEXT

Sitting at the exact midpoint of the 25-episode season, this episode marks the clear transition out of the Sports Festival arc and into the Hero Internship arc that will define the back half. The tournament battles have concluded, and the fallout — both emotional and professional — now drives the narrative forward. By introducing hero names and internship placements, this episode establishes the individual stakes and motivations that will shape each student's trajectory through the challenges ahead.
