My Hero Academia: More
Oshimeter
Synopsis
In a world where superpowers — called Quirks — are the norm, Izuku Midoriya is one of the unlucky few born without one. He still wants to be a hero more than anything, which is either admirable or delusional depending on who you ask. Then the greatest hero alive, All Might, passes his own Quirk down to Izuku, and suddenly this kid who had nothing is carrying the weight of a legacy he barely understands. This TV special adapts chapter 431 from the manga's final volume, so it's essentially a sendoff for a series that's meant a lot to a lot of people. The appeal of My Hero Academia has always been its cast — Bakugo's aggressive rivalry with Izuku, Todoroki quietly working through family trauma, Uraraka finding her own reasons to fight — and the Quirk system keeps battles creative in ways that never get stale. The animation brings all of it to life with fluid, kinetic action that hits different from reading it on the page. If you liked Naruto's underdog energy but want tighter pacing, or if Attack on Titan got you into anime and you're looking for something with a similar sense of stakes but a more hopeful tone, this is the lane. One Punch Man fans will appreciate how it plays with superhero tropes too, just from a more earnest angle. A fitting coda for the series.
