With the dark driving force and the suspenseful narrative setup, the plot thickens into more of a fantasy and thrilling episode. Arata's arrival changed the pace and tone into an intriguing story that is connected to the Usuba. Kiyoka's power in that eerie setting was great.

Something ominous is brewing with how heavy this episode is. Miyo with her nightmares and losing sleep over it makes me feel bad for her. Kiyoka is cool, especially when he is at work. Arata is really suspicious. I can't wait for the next episode to reveal him and his motives.

Feels heavier, with Miyo struggling with something that keeps resurfacing in her dreams while trying to be a “perfect bride.” It also shows more of Kiyoka’s side, making the episode feel a bit more grounded. Still engaging to watch.

Episode Context

Positioned at the two-thirds mark of a 12-episode season, this episode pivots from the relationship milestones of episodes 6 and 7, where Miyo and Kiyoka's bond visibly strengthened, into darker narrative territory that will drive the final act. It functions as a bridge episode, preserving the emotional warmth viewers have invested in while introducing supernatural and conspiratorial threads that raise the stakes significantly. The ominous elements seeded here are clearly setting up the conflicts that will define episodes 9 through 12.
