Episode Context

Episode 2 is a quiet aftermath piece that trades the karaoke outing for its emotional residue. The focus stays on Takeru and Kaori: Kaori's sincere excitement about her new relationship sits against Takeru's increasingly distracted inner state. A walk home and Takeru's own recollections carry the episode rather than new events, and Tomoko's earlier presence continues to dominate his thoughts even though the group setting is gone. The pacing is intimate and reflective. The central tension is the gap between outwardly sweet romantic gestures and private temptation, which gives the episode a tense, guilty mood. This is a character-pressure episode, less about a fresh group situation and more about what the karaoke encounter has already set in motion.
