At first, it feels slow, but something about this episode just pulls you in. You can really see Light stepping up and taking his revenge plan a go. The mood is quiet but intense, and everything feels more planned now. The scene at the end is so satisfying to watch.

Episode Context

Sitting at the quarter mark of this 12-episode run, 'The Lord of Destruction' escalates directly from episode 2's exploration of Light's growing power in the Abyss, transitioning from setup into a pivotal turning point. This is where the series shifts gears from establishing Light's arsenal to deploying it, laying essential groundwork for the confrontations and revenge encounters that will define the season's middle stretch. Everything from here builds toward the payoff against the former party members who betrayed him.
